Just Watchin' the Salmon Jump

We went back to Olympic Park one more time to see if we could see the Salmon swimming upstream to spawn.

No Salmon here; a little too far up stream I guess.

Actually this waterfall may been the problem; just too high for Salmon.

Next we found some very young Salmon, but not what we had in mind. Then, near days end we found mature adults swimming upstream to spawn.

This was really exciting to watch. The 3' to 4' waterfall they were jumping was a real challenge; many fish couldn't do it on their first attempt.



We were very fortunate to be here this time of year and learn so much about this wonderful fish. Shopping for Salmon and enjoying it will never be the same.
